BOREDOM AND A GIVEAWAY!!

READ TO THE BOTTOM FOR GIVEAWAY INFO :)

Ooooooooh man....
the day has come yet again.
February 2nd (the 1st was on a sunday so no work ;)

............

TAX SEASON-which means hubby goes M.I.A. for ten weeks.

i will be fine.  just bored.
and lonely.
and stressing over baby stuff since I am due next month.
and maybe a little bored too.

...let me know if you want to play

Also, I feel bad for not blogging in soooo long!  I have been seeing so many cute give aways lately and now I am feeling a little generous.  Who knows how well this will go, but I figured I would give it a whirl!  (hope there is more then 3 comments haha)

Most of you know I am not scheduling anymore pic sessions until April and I am pretty much booked therefore I am not really doing stuff until May.  I am feeling bummed about not being able to do any "love-bird" shoots or anything for Valentines Day.

SOOOOOO....

I would love to be able to give something away.  I want to give away a "love-bird" shoot!  What this will include:

you and your significant other (don't have one? how about a b.f.f.?)
(but max 2 people)
a 30-45 min. shoot at an outdoor location
Your fave top five images on disc
and one 8x10 print

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND

This shoot will have to be scheduled in May!  (sorry :) havin' a babe :)
I want this to be a fun session with lots of "spunk" and "love"
so ACCESSORIZE and feel free to "be yourselves" and not just posed!

Now, here is what you do:

Just leave me a comment here on this post!  Include something that I or anyone reading could "use" like a favorite recipe or an amazing "deal" or website or favorite restaurant, antique shop, just something...anything!  I will leave this up for two weeks and then have one of my kiddos randomly pick a number and vwala!

Hey Katie! I saw your bulletin on myspace so I thought i'd check it out...! :]

So I know of this great deal if anyone likes sushi...! The Blue Nami in Roseville on Eureka road across from Carmax is doing 50% off all their house rolls all day long. Normally, they do 50% off their house rolls during Happy Hour, which is 10pm - close (closing would be 1am Thur-Sat), but for the last few weeks and still currently (I just called), they do it all day long! MMMM... yummy, $3-$7 rolls! (That aren't premade in plastic containers.) Yay! :P

How fun. I love giveaways.

So I have been on this foodstorage kick. And I have been trying new things to learn how to use my food storage in everyday cooking. So when I found this soup recipe I had to try it.

Saute garlic in olive oil until fragrant.
Add I can white beans and mush until smooth.
(now I did use beans out of a can to try this recipe but for food storage purposes you could use dry beans after soaking them)
Add 1 more can of white beans and 2 cans diced tomatoes.

Wala! I wish I could make this for dinner every night because it literally took 5 minutes!

OK I hope I win. I hope I win. I hope I win!

Alrighty...I SO want this:) I just re-fell in love with Caramel Popcorn and have made it for my kids a few times for a Friday night movie...

It's really easy. I use two or three bags of Orville Redenbacker Smart Pop Kettle Corn (the flavor is super subtle because of the "smart Pop")

Caramel:
1 cup butter
2/3 cup brown sugar
2/3 cup white sugar
1/2 cup Karo Syrup
Boil in saucepan for 4 minutes.

Stir in 1 tsp vanilla.

Pour over popcorn in HUGE bowl and mix all together.

I can't wait to explore your site...All I've seen in Rachel's but they are Beautiful...the lighting is gorgeous!

Um, so we don't live in California and on the off chance the little ones pick me it would be an excuse to go down and visit! :) So, here goes... (oh, and these are DELICIOUS!)And the best part is they are only 112 calories each. :)

This recipe is...

Chocolate-Peanut Butter Gramwiches

4 whole chocolate graham cracker sheets
4 teaspoons reduced-fat peanut butter
1/2 cup frozen fat-free whipped topping, thawed

Break each graham cracker in half (so each half is 1 square). Spread 1 teaspoon peanut butter evenly over the inside of each of 4 halves.

Spread 2 tablespoons whipped topping each evenly among the insides of the 4 remaining halves. Sandwich the crackers together to form 4 sandwiches, each with a layer of peanut butter and a layer of whipped topping. Transfer to an airtight plastic container and place in the freezer. Freeze for about 2 hours or up to 1 month. Serve frozen.

Makes 4 servings

You know I love your pictures. And can I tell you how many compliments we got on the ones of our kids.

So this is Cafe Rio's Sweet Pork Recipe- its the exact same as COsta Vida- and oh so yummy

2 pounds pork (we use boneless pork rib meat)
3 cans Coke (NOT diet)
1/4 c. brown sugar
dash garlic salt
1/4 c. water
1 can sliced green chilies
3/4 can enchilada sauce (I use Old El Paso brand, medium spiciness but any will work)
1 c. brown sugar

Put the pork in a heavy duty ziploc bag to marinade. Add about a can and a half of coke and about 1/4 c. of brown sugar. Marinade for a few hours or overnight.

Drain marinade and put pork, 1/2 can of coke, water, and garlic salt in crock pot on high for about 3-4 hours (or until it shreds easily, but don't let it get TOO dry) or on low for 8 hours. Remove pork from crock pot and drain any liquid left in the pot. Shred pork.

In a food processor or blender, blend 1/2 can Coke, chilies, enchilada sauce and remaining brown sugar (about a cup, you can add a little more or less to taste..). If it looks too thick, add more Coke little by little.

Put shredded pork and sauce in crockpot and cook on low for 2 hours. That's it!
