Here we are in ghetto-ville a few weeks ago. We went to meet up with tons of people we went to high school with at a sushi restaurant...

Can we ask...WHAT IS EVERYONE OBSESSED WITH SUSHI FOR?????

YUCK!
OK, it's not terrible, but please...
we've tried three times and just don't get the point!
Brad thinks it's just the "in" thing to do...but,
Everyone says it's the restaurant you go to that makes all the difference.
so please tell us, we might give it one more shot...

WHERE IS THE BEST SUSHI JOINT???

Ummm... I don't know... Mikunnis is ok. Like I would rather go somewhere else. Ninja Sushi in Lincoln isn't bad except that the slices are HUGE. So... that is a little extreme for me. But again I liked it.
It is going to sound stupid ha ha but I really don't mind just really quick grabbing cali rolls from Raleys or those big platters at Costco. They arn't all Fancy or anything. But it hits the spot for a quick needed Roll :)

that is so funny.

Tips I always have used eating at ANY fish place, is when you walk in take a smell. if it smells like ANY type of fish or something that is trying to cover up a fish smell. I NEVER EAT THERE.

Don't know if that helps but... HEY! Where did you go eat at??
I say if you arn't into Sushi. Don't eat it anymore. I think if you have tried it a few times and just aint feeling it :) Then stop. Some people like it some do not :)

Oh my goodness! Sushi is my fav food! But not because of image-because I LOVE it! We go to Izumi's in Rocklin, but I also heard that there is a good place out in Lincoln off of Twelve Bridges (I don't remember the name) but I heard it is excellent! Anyways, I am glad you guys are trying it, I have been eating it since I was a kid! Anyways, I need to call you and talk to you! Still on for the 27th, and one of the three families is a go, so I need to talk to you about that too! Love you and I'll call you...I promise! Miss you guys!

Love Always,
Kris

Oh, boy, do I LOOOOOOOOOVE sushi! Brett is a self-proclaimed sushi snob. He lived with a Japanese family in San Diego for a couple of years and that is what they ate- sushi and other real, authentic, Japanese food. So, needless to say, he is very picky about what sushi we put into our mouths. Mikuni is ok, but they're very Americanized, he says. We found a litle place on Hazel and Greenback called Blue Nami. That place was AWESOME. They've just opened one in Roseville. You should try that place.

It really is an acquired taste, though. I worked hard to get used to it because Brett likes it so much, and I wanted to be able to go eat it with him. I started out with seared stuff and wussy, American, California rolls, and slowly graduated into some sashimi.

Mmmmm. Ya, sushi is trendy, but it is really yummy too. I always just go to Mikuni's but I've heard Ninja sushi in Lincoln is good too. Maybe we should go test it out one of these days. I didn't see you in church, what are you doing this week? Let's hang out and play cards or something. What night are you kids free?

Not sure about Sushi! Neal loves it, I refuse to give it a chance.
But I just checked out your photo blog, and actually scrolled through a few months. I think your style is so unique and cute! And I love your "photoshop-ing" skills! You are really talented!

Ok, so it was a little ghetto (and awkward) but we still had a good time! Honestly I don't think it matters where we are ghetto or not, we always manage to have fun!

Mikuni's is the trendy place to go and most people just go for the atmosphere (why I'm not sure becasue it's so loud) Anyways, we do like Mikuni's but we like other places more. Zakura in Lincoln off of Twelve Bridges is good and they usually have coupons in the money mailer. We also like Blue Nami in Roseville by Costa Vida. It also depends on what roll you get wether or not you will like it. We love sushi but we don't go too often so we never get sick of it.
