So on Saturday we had Kammy's birthday party with all our close family and friends. We can't believe it already passed. We racked our brains for weeks trying to figure out what to do for the party. You see, if you don't have a winter baby, it is difficult to comprehend what we "winter parents" must endure to pull off a fun, entertaining, mud free event! We tried to get a bounce house last year, but ended up having to cancel it the day of the party because it was pouring and the winds were crazy. So this year we thought of a million possibilities and kept coming back to just braving it out at our house. We would be lying if we said we weren't a little nervous about having a herd of 2-5 yr olds running through our house eating pizza on the white couches in our living room, smashing all the ornaments on our beautiful christmas tree, and unwrapping all the gifts that Brad spends so much time wrapping! But, no such thing! We had a full house like we expected, which made it so much fun. We put balloons EVERYWHERE! The kids loved them! Not one ornament was broken and the white couches were untouched! Whheeewwww! The theme was Pink Poodles in Paris which was sooo freakin' cute, even though all the kids her age were boys haha! Kammy got a lot of cool gifts, thanks everyone, she loves them all! She said her favorite part was "the cake part, when everyone was singing to me, and the presents." And even though December birthdays are tough to plan, it really does set the mood for being with family and loved ones! It couldn't have gone any better!
Ahhh....where to begin! It's been crazy around here, so there is lots to talk about, and tons of pics to share, so kick back and enjoy!! We'll start way back around Thanksgiving. We spent the early afternoon at Katies' parents house, and had dinner with them, it was really yummy! Jameson got to enjoy his first taste of "real squash" he enjoyed it! He then enjoyed snuggles with DAddy!
Kammy spent time with Papa playing legos, and then posed for a pic with Mom!
The day after Thanksgiving, Katie woke up too early and went shopping with her mom. They were at Target around 5:30 am and had a blast getting a few early morning deals. Something about being up insanely too early makes for some good giddy laughs. After spending all our money...nah just kidding...we headed up to Apple Hill with Brads side of the family to get our Christmas tree. It's a tradition we take part in every year. His parents, along with Trisha and Fred, and us all picked out the perfect trees. Kammy enjoyed playing with the "Cacoons" (pinecones ;) while Jameson munched on some leaves.
The kids are getting soooo big! Jameson is rolling all over the place, reaching for things like our faces, and loves to suck on his toes! I can't even believe that kammy is turning three next month! She is the best big sister, she is so involved with everything we do with Jameson. She gave him his first sip cup last night, and felt like such a big helper. Jameson wasn't too sure about it, but he liked chewing on it!
We recently went on vacation to Disneyland and had a blast! Kammy had so much fun, and it was a whole new experience to go and see things through her eyes! She loved the rides, and it was like spotting a celebrity when we saw Mickey or Pluto or any of the characters..."hurry, I have to take a picture with them..." Boy did we get our work out! We can't wait to go back again, soon!!
Hey, we are the Elmers! Brad, Katie, Kammy(almost 5), Jameson(2) and Beckett (almost 5 months). We (Brad and Katie) have been married six years now, and have been together for nine! Where does the time go, can't say that enough! We have the cutest kids ever, they bring so much laughter into our home. Kammy is always saying something new, she's our little comedian. She is not shy, at least not when you get to know her. Jameson is our handsom, high maintenance, "terrible two's loving" toddler. He is so sweet, when he's not being a grumpy pain in the butt haha! Beckett is our most smiley child of the three. All you have to do is look at him and you get an ear to ear grin. He is almost an exact replica (boy version of course) of his older sister. We love all of our kids (3 children and 3 dogs) more than we can express and we couldn't feel more complete...at least as of right now...
